À propos de l'événement
We are honoured to welcome investigative filmmaker Miki Mistrati (Copenhagen) and human-rights lawyer Terrence Collingsworth (Washington, DC) to Norwich in person for a special screening of The Chocolate War, followed by a live Q&A.
This hard-hitting documentary follows Collingsworth’s decades-long fight to hold major chocolate companies to account for slavery and forced labour in cocoa supply chains — a rare chance for Norwich audiences to meet two world-renowned campaigners for social justice and ask questions directly. Filmed across West Africa, Europe and the US, it moves from farms and communities to boardrooms and courtrooms, revealing the gap between glossy promises and lived reality. Through testimonies, on-the-ground reporting and key legal milestones, it probes how power operates in cocoa — and what a truly Responsible future for chocolate demands.
“I saw illegal child slavery and trafficking — and an industry turning a blind eye.” — Miki Mistrati
“They will never stop until they are forced to.”…
